Ava Toton is a 16-year-old guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and producer carving her path in metal music. Picking up a guitar at five and writing and releasing original songs before she was a teen, she’s grown from a young virtuoso into a boundary-pushing artist with a raw, uncompromising sound. Ava pulled back from solo releases to refine her songwriting and music production crafts. Now, three years later, she returns with “Decay”, a self-produced nu-metalcore track that marks her heaviest and most mature solo music to date. Before co-founding her current band, Cataclysmic, with Derek Romero, Ava dropped two independent EPs: A.V.A. and Charm School Dropout, alongside singles: Embers and Like A Girl. Cataclysmic released their debut single, Death is Just a Doorway, in July 2025. With “Decay” (co-written with Ace Arze-Freeman) and future projects, she’s stepping into her own as a producer and artist, delivering a darker, evolved sound that reflects her true vision. This new sound will drive the evolution of upcoming Cataclysmic and solo projects.
